New Ballot Opens for Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) 2025
The Australian Government has officially opened the new ballot for the 2025 Pacific Engagement Visa (PEV) program, providing an exciting opportunity for eligible citizens from 12 participating Pacific and Timor-Leste nations to apply for permanent residency in Australia.
This is a new ballot, and registrations from the 2024 ballot will not be carried over. To participate, individuals must first be selected through a random ballot draw. Once selected, they will be invited to apply for a PEV, which offers a permanent residency pathway to Australia.

Citizens from the following countries are eligible to enter the 2025 ballot:
- Federated States of Micronesia
- Fiji
- Kiribati
- Nauru
- Palau
- Papua New Guinea
- Samoa
- Solomon Islands
- Timor-Leste
- Tonga
- Vanuatu
The PEV is open to people of all skill levels, genders, and occupations, reflecting Australia’s commitment to building deeper ties with the Pacific region.
