BRED Bank Solomon has once again supported the annual Honiara Hash House Harriers (HHHH) Bloody Ridge Memorial Run, an event honouring the historic World War II battle that changed the course of the war and remembering all lives lost or affected.

This yearโs run carried extra significance as it coincided with the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II in the Pacific, known as Victory Pacific (VP) Day. The event took place at the Bloody Ridge National Park, the Solomon Islandsโ only national park and a now peaceful site that stands as a reminder of past sacrifices that have secured eight decades of peace.

Participants enjoyed a 5km walk or run across the rugged terrain, with sweeping views of mountains and ocean, while reflecting on the historical importance of the site. Organisers expressed appreciation to the Hash team and supporters, and encouraged the public to join the weekly HASH runs and walks, held every Monday at 5:15pm at varying locations.
