Honiara, Solomon Islands – Football fever is set to grip the nation as the OFC U-16 Men’s Championship 2025 kicks off tomorrow at Lawson Tama Stadium Eight teams from across Oceania will compete for three prized spots at the FIFA U-17 Men’s World Cup 2026 in Qatar.

The tournament opener will see the Cook Islands face Papua New Guinea at 12:00pm, followed by Fiji taking on Tahiti at 3:00pm.
Over the coming days, fans can expect high-intensity matches as young football talents battle not only for regional glory but also for the chance to represent Oceania on the world stage next year.

With the stage set in Honiara, the excitement is building as the road to Qatar begins.
