The Honiara City’s main highway from Point Cruz to the Honiara City Council Henderson has been in the past full of potholes, debris and dusts. These slows and stops traffic flows into and out of the city.
However, when Honourable Ricky Fu’oo is appointed as the Minister of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Development, within a very short time there is improvements where the potholes have been filled, and the road’s debris and dusts swept away. The heavy traffic in the morning and evening especially from the eastern end starting from the Central Market to Town Ground has been eased. Similarly, the heavy traffic in the morning and evening from point cruz to the central market has also been eased.
I as the Minister of Home Affairs responsible for the Honiara City therefore congratulates Honourable Minister Ricky Fu’oo MP for delivering the improvements needed for the roads in Honiara City.
Ministry of Home Affairs in collaborations and consultations with the Honiara City Council has plans to beautify Honiara City by planting shade trees.
