Honiara, Solomon Islands — Prime Minister Hon. Jeremiah Manele will deliver the keynote address at a High-Level Symposium to be held this Friday, 12 September 2025, at the Aquatic Centre, Sport City Complex, in Honiara.

The event, organized by the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) in collaboration with the Pasifika Communities University (PCU), is a side event of the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting 2025 and it is open to the public.

The symposium will run under the theme “Netweaving the Soul of Pacific Development” and aims to foster dialogue on the future of regional growth and cooperation. Alongside Prime Minister Manele, the program will also feature contributions from SINU, PCU, the National Council of Women, and youth leaders.

Organizers say the symposium is open to all and provides a platform for leaders, academics, and the community to reflect on Pacific development pathways and the values that bind the region together.
