The Central Guadalcanal Youth Association, together with the Organizing Committee of the inaugural โCommunities for Sustainability: Eco-Tourism and Green Development Fair,โ is proud to officially acknowledge the exceptional contribution from the Peopleโs Republic of China in support of this milestone event.
Today, at the Embassy of the Peopleโs Republic of China in Honiara, a sponsorship of SBD$50,000 was formally handed over to the Committee Chairman, Mr. Larry Viravira, by Mr. tan Jiawei from the Chinese Embassy in Honiara . This generous support has been designated as a Gold Sponsorship for the fair, showing and proving the strong commitment of the Chinese Embassy towards empowering young people in Central Guadalcanal and fostering sustainable community initiatives.
The Organizing Committee extends its deep and great appreciation to the Chinese Embassy for this timely and positive response, which reflects genuine partnership and recognition of the important role that youth play in driving eco-tourism and green development in the Solomon Islands.
The fair, which commenced on Tuesday, has already attracted significant community engagement and participation. It will continue throughout the week and officially conclude on Friday, September 12th. With this sponsorship, the event is further strengthened to achieve its purpose of promoting sustainability, showcasing eco- tourism opportunities, and highlighting green development initiatives for communities across Guadalcanal Province.
