HONIARA, Solomon Islands – Madam Joycelyn Manele accompanied spouses of the Leaders of the Pacific Islands Forum to St. Joseph’s Tenaru Secondary School and Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands.
At St. Josephs Tenaru Secondary School, the spouses visited the dining hall, class rooms, chapel, library and the school’s office.
Speaking to St. Josephs School teachers and students Madam Manele said, “Today I come not only alone, but accompanied by my fellow Madams who are here in our beautiful country accompanying the great leaders of the Pacific who are here for the Pacific Islands Forum Leaders Meeting, of which Solomon Islands has the privilege of hosting this year.”
“As the host of our happy isles, I wish to show them the different aspects of Solomon Islands and I want them to see one of the best boarding schools of this country of which is the foundation of many of our Country’s leaders.”
She reminded the students and teachers that education is the foundation of progress, and she commend all efforts that are provided to ensure the quality learning experiences at St. Josephs.

“I look forward to seeing the continued growth and success of this school, and I encourage everyone to keep striving for excellence. This institution is doing a wonderful job in nurturing young minds and guiding them towards a bright future”, said Madam Manele.
Madam Manele on behalf of the spouses present a token of appreciation to supplement the school’s budget.


The spouses also visited the Kokonut Pacific Solomon Islands and learned the different types of Kokonut Pacific products that are sold locally and abroad.
Meanwhile, this morning the spouses have accompanied the leaders to Munda and Noro, and will visit some popular sites in Munda.
