The Emergency Response Group (ERG) of the Correctional Service of Solomon (CSSI) last week, proudly received a full set of newly sponsored soccer uniforms from the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Honiara.
In an official handover ceremony, representatives from the Embassy presented the uniforms to ERG leadership as part of ongoing cooperation and support towards strengthening camaraderie, wellness, and team spirit within the CSSI.
Director of ERG Mr. David Niui expressed appreciation for the generous sponsorship, acknowledging the value of such support in promoting physical fitness and strengthening teamwork among officers.
“On behalf of the ERG and the CSSI, we extend our sincere gratitude to the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China for this meaningful contribution. These uniforms will not only support our participation in sporting activities but also help build unity, discipline, and morale within our team,” says Niui.
A Consular representative from the Embassy reaffirmed China’s ongoing partnership with the Solomon Islands and its commitment to supporting community, policing, and sporting initiatives that encourage positive engagement and well-being.
The ERG soccer team will proudly wear the new uniforms in upcoming CSSI sporting events and community engagements.
