The Professional Standard Internal Investigation (PSII) Department of the Royal Solomon Island Police Force (RSIPF) is investigating a police officer who alleged mistreating his wife.

The investigation came about after a post went viral on social media about the wife of a policer officer and her child found sleeping on the street.

It was alleged that the officer often kicked out his wife and their child from their home due to family disagreement. The latest incident was the wife and her baby found at the NPF Plaza (Anthony Sau building).

RSIPF Acting Commissioner Mr. Lenialu condemned such treatment or action taken by the alleged police officer and confirmed that an investigation is underway. The Director of the Professional Standards & Internal Investigation [PSII] and team have progressed the investigation.

Acting Commissioner Lenialu said when PSII is finalizing the case file, then send it to my office for further instruction to be made based on their findings.

He said this is really a sad situation, but I am happy that the wife of the police officer has the courage to come forward and assist PSII with their investigation.
