The Royal Solomon Islands Police Force (RSIPF) bid farewell to the late Inspector Eddie Peseika during a send-off service held at the SSEC Church on 13 February, following his untimely passing on 7 February 2026 at the National Referral Hospital in Honiara.
Acting Commissioner Mathias Lenialu said the sudden passing of Inspector Peseika is a significant loss to the RSIPF, his family, his community, and the nation he faithfully served.
With more than 18 years of dedicated service, Inspector Peseika exemplified the core values of commitment, sacrifice, integrity, and professionalism that define the RSIPF.
โJoining the RSIPF as a recruit, Inspector Peseika steadily rose through the ranks to become an Inspector, demonstrating perseverance, loyalty, and an unwavering readiness to serve wherever duty called,โ Commissioner Lenialu said.

โThroughout his career, he actively pursued professional development through continuous training, reflecting his commitment to growth and excellence in policing. His service embodied the RSIPF motto, โTo Serve and Protect,โ and his contributions strengthened both the organisation and the communities it safeguards.โ
Inspector Peseika will be remembered as a dedicated officer, a respected colleague, and a leader whose work contributed meaningfully to the safety and security of the nation.
His legacy of faithful service and commitment to duty will remain an enduring example to all members of the Force. His contributions to the RSIPF and to the country will not be forgotten.
