This Friday, Christians around the world observe Good Friday. A day that carries deep spiritual meaning. It is called “good” because it marks the ultimate act of love: the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the Cross for the salvation of humanity.
While the day remembers the suffering Jesus endured, it also celebrates the powerful message behind His sacrifice. Through the Cross, forgiveness is offered, relationships with God can be restored, and victory over sin is made possible. As written in 1 Corinthians 1:18, “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
The Cross is not a symbol of defeat, it is the symbol of Jesus’ greatest victory. Through His sacrifice, families and individuals are given the opportunity to reconnect with God and experience restoration in their lives and relationships.
For this reason, families are encouraged to come together and gather at the Foot of the Cross this Good Friday. It is a time to reflect, pray, and seek renewal—not only in our relationship with God but also within our families. Parents, children, brothers, and sisters can rediscover the closeness that faith and unity bring.
