Copra and cocoa farmers and buyers in Makira have been supporting the Solomon Islands economy since 2019 with hard work and relentless commitment.
From the shores of Makira to the warehouses in Honiara, these hard workers continued even in the face of adversity.
Despite the challenges of lacking proper infrastructure for MV. KCB2 to load, Ugi Buying Agent (CEMA), and Pakera CEMA buying center continue to load copra and cocoa, ensuring that their vital services never stop.
Director for CEMA Cabinet Sub-Committee Simon Chottu confirm that “CEMA is also working closely with line ministries MID to address the ongoing struggle of serving our rural communities, who continue to operate without proper infrastructure, ensuring no one is left behind.”
