The Shortland Islands constituency office of the MP, Hon. Junior Isikeli Vave has issued a statement clarifying that the recent outcomes of the ESP Audit are exclusively tied to the actions of former MP Christopher Laore.
The office emphasized that there is no involvement from the current administration in these findings, aiming to alleviate any confusion among constituents regarding the implications of the audit.
This statement reflects a commitment to transparency and accountability, distancing the current leadership from the past administration’s decisions and reinforcing their focus on serving the community.
The statement reads;
The current Shortland Islands Constituency office of Hon Junior Isikeli Vave would like to clarify, for the sake of clearing up confusion, that the ongoing media piblications of ESP funds are related to the Former Member of Parliament for Shortland Islands, Chris Laore.
These are publications of documents related to funds he received during the Covid-19 outbreak in the Solomon Islands under the “ESP” Economic Stimulus Package.
The current Shortland Islands Constituency office of Hon Jnr Isikeli Vave has, as of this date received zero funds from the Solomon Islands Government and is still awaiting the RCDF.
To this date the office has been operating and helping Shortland Islanders out of private funds derived from the current Honorable MInister Junior Isikeli Vave’s own heart and pocket.
