The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA), through its Soul Cocoa Livelihood Project (SCLP), warmly welcomed two final-year Agriculture Bachelor students from the Solomon Islands National University (SINU) to their project team.
The students, Ms. Natasha Medei from Temotu Province and Ms. Lanieta Ofea from Malaita Province, participated in a two-day cocoa training program at Aropa, Mauripata, Upper Tenaru Community, in Central Guadalcanal on Wednesday, January 22, and Thursday, January 23, 2025.

This hands-on attachment was part of the students’ academic requirements to engage with communities and observe how ADRA implements its cocoa training programs.
Both students expressed their heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to ADRA for the opportunity to join the project, emphasizing how it helped deepen their understanding of cocoa production and broaden their agricultural knowledge.
Ms. Medei and Ms. Ofea are eager to participate in future training sessions with the SCLP team as they continue their journey in agriculture.
