“YOU UGLY PEOPLE” Racist Intoxicated Aussie Witch Taped To Control

Regional News

On January 20, 2025, a Fiji Airways flight from San Francisco to Nadi experienced a significant disturbance when a 69-year-old Australian woman became disorderly. Midway through the 11-hour journey, the woman, reportedly intoxicated, began shouting at passengers and crew, using racist and offensive language, and throwing objects. Despite efforts to calm her, she continued her disruptive behavior, leading flight attendants to restrain her and tape her mouth shut.

Upon landing in Nadi, the woman was arrested and charged under the Fiji Civil Aviation Act for being an unruly passenger. She was fined $345 and subsequently released after paying the fine.

This incident shows the severe impact of racist behavior in confined environments like aircraft cabins. The woman’s actions not only endangered the safety and comfort of those on board but also highlighted the challenges airlines face in managing such conduct. Fiji Airways emphasized its zero-tolerance policy for any threatening behavior and is cooperating with authorities in the ongoing investigation.

Racism in such settings can escalate tensions and lead to extreme measures, as seen in this case. It’s crucial for airlines to have protocols to address and mitigate such behavior to ensure the safety and well-being of all passengers and crew.
