“Kola’a Ridge Cemetery”
A few unauthorized individuals are currently residing in and erecting illegal semi-permanent structures within the Cemetery grounds. Furthermore, these individuals are engaging in unlicensed carwash operations, using the cemetery as a place of business, residence, gambling activities, and even as a place to conveniently relieve themselves.
Such actions are not only a violation of our ordinance, but also a deeply disrespectful affront to the memory of those laid to rest in the Cemetery. The sanctity of the Cemetery must be preserved, and the Council will not tolerate any activities that undermine its dignity.
Illegal occupants are advised to voluntarily demolish and remove any semi-permanent structures erected within or around the cemetery grounds and public road access. Failure to voluntarily demolish and remove any illegal semi-permanent structures will result in the Council enforcing its powers under Section 13(1) of the Building Ordinance by 18 February 2025.
