Healing the Wounds of Trauma: A Transformative Week at SWIM Base

This week, from Tuesday, February 11th, to Thursday, February 13th, 2025, SWIM Base became a sanctuary for healing and renewal.

The SITHA (Solomon Islands Trauma Healing Association) team had the privilege of conducting trauma healing sessions with the dedicated staff at SWIM Base. These sessions were designed to address the emotional and psychological wounds that often accompany challenging work environments, providing tools and practices to foster resilience and inner peace.

The three-day program focused on creating a safe space for participants to explore their experiences, process unresolved emotions, and develop coping mechanisms for stress and trauma. Through group discussions and therapeutic exercises, the staff were able to connect deeply with themselves and each other, encouraging a sense of community and mutual support.
