As part of the celebrations, Solomon Water will have a dedicated stall at the venue, providing customers with vital information on 2025 Tariffs, how to Calculate Water Bills, Illegal Connections (identification and reporting), Customer Awareness, and Customer Care Services. The Billing, Customer Care, and Communications teams will be present throughout the three-day event to engage with customers and address any inquiries.

Women at the Heart of Solomon Water.
Solomon Water takes pride in its 60 female staff members, who make up one-quarter of the organizationโs 250+ workforce, across Honiara and the provinces. These women excel in a wide range of roles that are essential to the organizationโs success. Their contributions span technical and field roles such as plumbers, water quality technicians, heavy plant operators, wastewater team leaders, meter reading team leaders, and customer connections team leaders; customer service and financial roles such as cashiers, billing officers, payroll officers, and customer care officers; administrative and management roles such as HR assistant officers, IT coordinators, project engineers, lands management officers, and stores and inventory team leaders; as well as vital community and communications positions including WASH officers, community liaison officers, and communications officers. Women at Solomon Water also contribute at the executive management level, shaping the future of the organization.

For the duration of the event, these women will be available at the Solomon Water stall, giving the public an opportunity to meet them, learn about their roles, and gain insight into their contributions to Solomon Water and the community. This engagement aligns with the IWD 2025 theme, reinforcing the importance of womenโs empowerment.
Celebrating Women at Solomon Water.
In addition to its public engagement at the National Museum Grounds, Solomon Water will also celebrate International Womenโs Day internally with a special IWD 2025 cake-cutting ceremony at its BJS Building and Mataniko offices to honor the dedication and achievements of its female staff.
Solomon Water remains committed to promoting gender equality and supporting women in all aspects of its operations. We encourage the public to visit our stall, learn more about our services, and celebrate the invaluable contributions of women in water service delivery.
