The British High Commission in Solomon Islands has shown its continued support for youth development by donating essential field equipment to the Solomon Islands Scouts. The handover took place on Friday, April 11, and included two 6×3 tents and a water dispenser, items that will greatly enhance the Scouts’ ability to conduct outdoor and community-based programs.

Chief Commissioner of Scouts, Joe Billy Oge, expressed his heartfelt appreciation for the contribution, describing it as a “small but significant” boost for the local scout movement. He emphasized that the donated equipment will help facilitate field activities and promote youth engagement across the country.
The British High Commission reaffirmed its commitment to supporting youth-led initiatives in Solomon Islands, highlighting the importance of empowering young people through community service and leadership training.
