The Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) Green Beret Soccer Team has received a brand-new set of uniforms, generously donated by South Pacific Oil Limited (SPOL).
The official handover took place during a brief ceremony at the CSSI Headquarters in Honiara, where representatives from SPOL’s Sales and Marketing team presented the uniforms to CSSI Commissioner Mactus Forau.
Commissioner Forau expressed his sincere gratitude to SPOL management for their support towards the CSSI and the Green Beret Soccer Team.
“Sports play a vital role in the nature of our duties within correctional facilities, promoting good health, physical strength, overall fitness, as well as fostering self-discipline and goal-setting skills,” said Commissioner

Deputy Sales and Marketing Manager of SPOL, Mr. Daniel Totorea, highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting partnership and well-being.
“By providing these uniforms, SPOL is not only encouraging sportsmanship but also helping to build stronger relationships between SPOL and CSSI,” Mr. Totorea said. “We are proud to empower CSSI teams to participate in sports with pride and unity, which contributes to physical health and team-building.”
Green Beret Soccer Team Captain, Inspector Dudley Seda, also extended his appreciation to SPOL.
“On behalf of the team, I thank SPOL management for this generous contribution and for continuing to be the number one supplier of fuel and lubricants in the country,” said Inspector Seda.
