Hon. Sade

As we reflect on our journey since achieving independence in 1978, we honour the courage, resilience, and foresight of those who paved the way for a free and self-governing Solomon Islands. Their legacy continues to remind us of the enduring importance of national unity, good governance, and a steadfast commitment to service.

This year’s theme, “Unity and Stability for Transformation and Prosperity,” resonates deeply with our work in the public service. We remain steadfast in our mission to build a professional, accountable, and people-centred public service that upholds the values of integrity while fostering sustainable development for all Solomon Islanders.

To all our public servants across the nation — your dedication, loyalty, and service are the foundation of our nation’s growth. Together, let us continue to serve with excellence, embracing innovation and adaptability as we address the challenges and seize the opportunities of today and tomorrow.

As we raise our flag high and sing our anthem with pride, let this moment inspire us to renew our shared commitment to nation-building, peace, and prosperity.

Happy 47th Independence Day, Solomon Islands!

God bless Solomon Islands.
