As we celebrate the 47th Independence Anniversary let us all give thanks to our Almighty Father the God of Host who graces us with another year of prosperity, peace and abundant blessings just as He did for us in the last 46 years.
As we celebrate today, let us not forget our forefathers who sailed the distant water, rough seas and stormy weather to get us all to where we are today. Let us acknowledge and remember them for their bravery, faith and wisdom in their pursuit towards our country’s independence 47 years ago. Independence for our Country Solomon Islands!

As we celebrate the 47th anniversary of our country, the Ministry of Health extends its warmest congratulations to all our citizens. We acknowledge the significant strides made in the health sector since independence, and we express our sincere gratitude for the dedication and commitment of our healthcare professionals, community leaders, development partners, and every individual who has contributed to the health and well-being of our country.
