Australia Supports Safe Learning Environments at Ilia Community High School

Australia is committed to ensuring that every student has access to a safe and secure learning environment. As part of this effort, the Australian Government has funded the construction of a perimeter fence at Ilia Community High School in East Honiara, Solomon Islands.

This initiative, delivered through the Solomon Islands-Australia Community Partnerships, aims to protect the school’s property and ensure that students have a safe area to focus on their studies without distractions.

In 2024, Australia extended its support by funding 100 new community projects across every province of the Solomon Islands, with a total investment of over SBD 23 million directed towards Solomon Islands businesses. This funding shows Australia’s commitment to supporting local communities and enhancing educational infrastructure.
