7 CSSI Officers Promoted to Sergeant and Senior Sergeant RanksHoniara, 20 August 2025 – Seven (7) officers of the Correctional Service of Solomon Islands (CSSI) have been officially promoted to the ranks of Sergeant and Senior Sergeant during the parade held yesterday morning at the CSSI Headquarters, Rove.

The promotions were formally announced by CSSI Commissioner, Mr. Mactus Forau, during the Commissioner’s Weekly Parade. Out of the seven officers, three were elevated to the rank of Senior Sergeant, while four officers were promoted to the rank of Sergeant.

Commissioner Forau highlighted that among the promoted officers, two are from Auki Correctional Centre and two are from Gizo Correctional Centre, reflecting the Service’s commitment to recognizing talent and dedication across all operational areas.

In his remarks, Commissioner Forau described the occasion as an important milestone in the careers of the promoted officers:

Congratulations on your well-deserved promotion, and I wish you all the best as you take on new responsibilities in this next chapter of your career.”

As part of the event, Commissioner Forau also officially handed over the Standing Orders of Rove Central Correctional Centre to the Centre’s Commandant, Mr. Cecil Nokia, reinforcing the Service’s operational standards and leadership framework.
