Two groups of Solomon Islanders have left the country last week to take up new opportunities in Australia under the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.
On Wednesday 20th , five workers from Cohort 2 of the Age Care Expansion Program (ACE) departed to join LSA, Blue Adcorp agency in Noosa, Queensland.

A larger group of 23 workers followed on Friday, recruited under Australian Regional and Remote Community Services (ARRCS). Of this group, 19 will serve as care workers while four will take up roles as cooks in the Northern Territory.
The workers expressed excitement and gratitude for the chance to earn a living abroad and support their families. The Labour Mobility Unit (LMU) has wished them well and encouraged them to remain committed to achieving their goals during their four-year contracts.
