Renbel IBS FC Builds Confidence Ahead of Super League

Renbel IBS FC continues to develop their confidence as they prepare for the upcoming Super League, with a series of friendly matches aimed at improving both player fitness and tactical awareness. In their second friendly match, Renbel IBS faced off against Real Isa FC at the SINU Kukum Campus field. The match ended 5-2 in favor of Real Isa, but Renbel IBS is using the experience to sharpen their preparations for the Super League.

Led by former national player George Arta, Renbel IBS FC showed strong promise in the first half, leading in a competitive match. However, Real Isa came back stronger in the second half, ultimately securing the win. Despite the loss, Arta remains optimistic, stating that the team is 75% prepared, with the remaining two weeks focusing on fitness and tactical development.

Arta also highlighted the challenges in transitioning players, many of whom have a rugby background into football. He is working to bring more Polynesian players into the game, further growing football in the Solomon Islands. However, the match was affected by poor weather conditions, which led to the absence of some key players and a normal field.

Despite these setbacks, Renbel IBS FC is determined to continue their progress and build on the lessons learned from this friendly in their quest for success in the Super League.
