Solomon Post Celebrates World Post Day 2025

9th October 2025

The Solomon Islands Postal Corporation (Solomon Post) yesterday joined the global postal community in commemorating World Post Day 2025, celebrated under the universal theme “PostForPeople: Local Service. Global Reach.”

A low-key but interactive program involving all staff was held yesterday at Solomon Post’s
Head Office in Honiara to mark the occasion. The program featured team-building activities
followed by a speech from the Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Caroline Kanoko, highlighting
the importance of the postal sector in connecting people and communities across the nation and the world.

In her remarks, Mrs. Kanoko emphasized that the postal network remains a vital bridge
linking families, businesses, and governments throughout the Solomon Islands and beyond.

“From Lata to the Shortland Islands, from Henderson to White River — every letter, parcel, and message we deliver tells a story of connection,” said Mrs. Kanoko. “What we do is more than sorting mail or delivering parcels — it’s connecting families, supporting businesses,
and building trust.”

The CEO underscored Solomon Post’s deep local commitment to serving communities
across all provinces — and acknowledged the dedication of postal workers who go the extra
mile to ensure no one is left behind.

She also highlighted Solomon Post’s expanding global reach through partnerships and
digital transformation, noting that the organization now connects Solomon Islanders to the global economy through international delivery services.

“This is what ‘Local Service. Global Reach.’ means — connecting our islands to the world
while serving our people with dedication and care,” Mrs. Kanoko added.

She further commended the tireless efforts of all Solomon Post staff, describing them as the
heart of the organization and ambassadors of connection and trust.

“We are not just employees of Solomon Post,” she said. “We are builders of the future.
Together, we will keep the Solomon Islands connected, empowered, and ready for the
opportunities ahead.”
