The National Referral Hospital (NRH) nurses have expressed their gratitude for the generous donation of essential items from the Friends of No. 9, a community group initiated by Robert Goh, Eddy Leung, Andy Leung, and their families.
Earlier this month, (10th October 2025) the Friends of No. 9 donated; three office tables, two coffee tables, six office chairs, one electric kettle, one coffee maker, two water urns, and several door lockers. The donated items have been distributed among various NRH wards and the nurses’ administration office to improve workplace comfort and functionality.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the NRH nurses, Sister Florida Pratt thanked and acknowledged the Friends of No. 9 for their continued support of the nurses’ welfare.
“These items will greatly assist our nurses in their daily work in both the wards and the administration office here at NRH,” said Ms. Pratt.
She further expressed appreciation for the group’s ongoing generosity and partnership with NRH.

Representatives of the Friends of No. 9, Peter Tam and Veronica Alondres of Delite Industries Ltd., said they were pleased to extend their support to the dedicated NRH nursing team.
“We are sincerely grateful for the dedication and care shown by all NRH nurses,” they said. “These items are a small gesture of appreciation. We hope they bring greater comfort to your work and assist you in your daily efforts to care for others. Thank you for everything you do for our community.”
The Friends of No. 9 extend their heartfelt appreciation to all NRH nurses for their unwavering dedication and service to the people of the Solomon Islands.
