Local Leaders Unite in Solomon Islands to Shape Renewable Energy Future

More than 50 local leaders from government, industry, NGOs, and communities gathered in Honiara to help shape REnew Pacificβ€”Australia’s SBD402 million program aimed at delivering off-grid renewable energy solutions to rural and remote communities across the Solomon Islands and the Pacific region.

The workshops focused on aligning REnew Pacific with the unique needs of Solomon Islands’ diverse communities, emphasizing climate resilience and sustainable development. Participants explored how renewable energy can support vital sectors such as lighting, clean water, food security, education, and healthcare.

REnew Pacific is now inviting proposals to co-finance impactful projects that address these needs across the region.
