The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and External Trade (MFAET) wishes to clarify that Solomon Islands is not associated with the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC) and disassociates itself from any representation or participation under its name at the said gathering in Europe.

Solomon Islands reaffirms its unwavering respect for the One-China Principle and recognizes the Peopleโ€™s Republic of Chinaโ€™s sovereignty over Taiwan in accordance with international law and relevant United Nations resolutions.

The Government of Solomon Islands views Taiwan as an integral part of the territory of the Peopleโ€™s Republic of China and continues to uphold this position as the foundation of its diplomatic relations with China.

Solomon Islandsโ€™ foreign policy of โ€œFriends to All and Enemies to Noneโ€ is guided by mutual respect and non-interference. It is not intended to challenge the sovereignty of any state, nor to align with any group or alliance that targets another sovereign state or interferes in its internal affairs.
