The Guadalcanal Provincial Health Office wishes to inform the public that Vura Clinic, located in Northwest Guadalcanal, will be temporarily closed to allow for essential renovation works.
The closure is necessary due to termite damage and the need to upgrade the clinicโs Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) facilities, as well as the staff house, to ensure a safe and conducive working environment.
The renovation will be supported by the Solomon Islands Government, through the Ministry of Health and Medical Services (MHMS), under the GP Health Grant. The renovation works are expected to take approximately six (6) weeks to complete.

During this period, community members are kindly advised to seek health services at the Mamara Area Health Centre.

The Guadalcanal Provincial Health Office sincerely thanks the communities for their patience and understanding as we undertake these improvements to ensure better, safer, and more reliable health services in the future.
