Newly elected Prime Minister Matthew Wale has announced the first group of ministers in his new government, with eight ministers, including the Deputy Prime Minister, sworn in at Government House this afternoon.
The appointments come just a day after Wale was elected Prime Minister, signaling a swift move to establish his administration. More ministerial appointments are expected to be announced tomorrow as the new government continues to take shape.

Among the ministers sworn in today, six have returned to portfolios they previously held under the former GNUT Government.
The ministers appointed are:
• Francis Sade – Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Public Service
• Ricky Fuo’o – Minister for Infrastructure Development
• Harry Kuma – Minister for Commerce, Industries, Labour and Immigration
• Fredrick Kologeto – Minister for Communication and Aviation
• Clezy Rore – Minister for Justice and Legal Affairs
• Franklyn Derek Wasi – Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development
• James Bonunga – Minister for Culture and Tourism
