Australia is Solomon Islands’ nambawan partner in sport; supporting both elite athletes and grassroots organisations.
The three Solomon Islands organisations who’ve been selected to receive funding through this year’s Play for Equity Fund – a small grants initiative by the Australian Government’s sport for development program Team Up, in partnership with the International Olympic Committee:
• Central Island Province Honiara-Based Youth Group
• Disabled People’s Association of Solomon Islands
• Floorball Federation Solomon Islands
Australia will fund them to deliver innovative community initiatives aimed at advancing disability inclusion and gender justice through sports and play in Solomon Islands.
