𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐔 𝐭𝐨 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 𝐎𝐩𝐞𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲: 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐬 𝐏𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐨 𝐉𝐨𝐢𝐧!

The Solomon Islands National University (SINU) is hosting its 2024 Open Day on Friday, 27th September, and the public is invited to attend and experience this educational showcase.

The event, themed “𝐄𝐦𝐩𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲, 𝐦𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐰 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐒𝐈𝐍𝐔,” will begin with an official program at 8:30 AM, featuring speeches from SINU Vice-Chancellor Professor Transform Aqorau, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Education and Human Resource Development Dr Franco Rodie, Permanent Secretary for the Ministry of Culture and Tourism Barney Sivoro, and SINUSA President Ray William Ereoli.

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore offerings from all five SINU faculties: the Faculty of Education and Humanities, Faculty of Science and Technology, Faculty of Business and Tourism Studies, Faculty of Nursing, Medicine and Health Sciences, and Faculty of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries. Booths will be set up to provide information and answer inquiries. Faculty tours are scheduled for 10:30 AM, following the official speeches.

The Open Day will also feature cultural performances, booth quizzes, and giveaways. While the main program will take place at Kukum Campus, both Ranadi and Panatina campuses will also be open for visits. Additionally, 2025 admissions to study at SINU are now open, with on-site support available to assist all prospective students. The event will officially conclude at 4:30 PM.
