The Solomon Islands People First Party (SIPFP) Executive today handed over two Wheelchairs to the Accident and Emergency Department (AED) of the National Referral Hospital.

This was in response to a call for donations of wheelchairs for the NRH posted on the YUMI TOK TOK forum on Facebook in the past week.

In handing over the two wheelchairs, President of the Solomon Islands People First Party, Mr. Elisha Paza Pitanoe said, “On behalf of the SIPFP Parliament members and the SIPFP Executive Committee, we are humbled and glad to have the opportunity to give back to our people through this donation.

“The gift of two wheelchairs is small yet we do hope it will assist the Accident and Emergency Department in the services you are providing for the people of our country”.

In response, Head of the Accidents and Emergency Department, Dr. Patrick Toito’ona said the gift of wheelchairs is timely and will go a long way in serving the people of this nation through the services of the National Referral Hospital and he thanked the SIPFP Executive for the kind donation.
