Police in Buala, Isabel Province, have arrested three suspects during a recent patrol to Kia and Katova wards, following reports received.
Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Inspector Harry Vanosi stated, “Two suspects were arrested and charged with common nuisance contrary to section 172 of the penal code and one suspect was arrested and charged with restriction on making liquor Contrary to Section 50 (2) of the liquor Act.”
The suspects were released on bail and will appear in Buala Magistrate’s Court circuit on 25 November 2024.
Vanosi commended the village chiefs and elders in Kia for their cooperation and support in assisting police investigations and the arrest of those suspects.
He appeals for continued support from the communities, as some suspects remain at large.
The police are committed to ensuring they are arrested to help reduce crime in our communities.
Mr. Vanosi also recognized the efforts of officers at the Buala and Kia police posts for their good work and assured the community that investigations will continue to arrest any remaining suspects.
