Australia’s Ambassador for Gender Equality, Stephanie Copus Campbell, joined two distinguished Solomon Islands leaders – Deputy Chair of Government Caucus Honourable Cathy Nori MP and Prime Minister’s Policy Secretary Social Sector and former Minister Lanelle Tanangada – for an insightful discussion about women’s leadership.
The speakers shared their personal stories about overcoming barriers to leadership as women, and on the importance of equality opportunities for men and women in community, work and politics for helping sustainable development in the Solomon Islands.
The Australian High Commission thanks the Solomon Islands National University for hosting this event and to Dean of Education and Humanities, Dr Patricia Rodie, for moderating the discussion. The event is part of the SINU-Australia Seminar Series, supporting leaders to talks about important issues.
