This is to inform all vehicle owners and/or mechanics responsible for broken-down vehicles located along China Town Road, Lombi Cresent Road, Gina Cresent Road, Vara Road, Vara Creek Road, Vara Cresent road, Tuvaruhu Road, and Tuvaruhu Cresent, that authorised Council officers will begin inspections and issuing notices starting Wednesday, 5 March 2025.
When approached or requested by authorised officers, vehicle owners and/or mechanics are required to provide their full name, address, and contact details.
Please note that following the expiration of the voluntary removal notice for broken-down vehicles, the Council will now proceed with formal notice issuance to those responsible. This will initiate the necessary legal procedures for prosecuting identified offenders in accordance with the relevant ordinances.
The Council will prioritise the immediate prosecution of individuals responsible for or liable for broken-down vehicles and will proceed with the removal of all such vehicles from the main access roads, as outlined in the attached map:
