Central Provincial Government (CPG) Accelerates Preparations for its Second Appointed Day (27th -30th June 2025)

With just a couple of weeks remaining, the Central Province’s Second Appointed Day (CP-SAD) Committee is intensifying preparations for the upcoming celebrations to be hosted in Tulagi, the provincial capital.

The CP-SAD Committee has announced that this year’s event will span four days, beginning on Friday 17th June 2025 with the arrival of guests and dignitaries, and concluding on Monday 30th June 2025 with Premier’s Dinner in the evening.

Key highlights of the provincial celebrations will include:

• A Mini Trade and Cultural Show.

• Live band performances, traditional and contemporary dances.

• Various entertainment activities to maintain high tempo throughout the event.

The official Second Appointed Day celebration falls on Monday 30th June, marking the anniversary of Central Province’s recognition as one of the nine provinces of Solomon Islands as a sovereign state.
