A meeting between the Solomon Islands Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SICCI) and the Solomon Islands Ports Authority (SIPA) has reaffirmed the strong partnership between the two institutions in supporting the country’s private sector development.
Led by SICCI Chief Executive Officer Mr. James Dolarii, the SICCI delegation made a special courtesy visit to SIPA CEO, reflecting the shared commitment to fostering business growth and economic development across the Solomon Islands.
During the meeting, both CEOs discussed ongoing collaboration and future areas of partnership.
SIPA has been a longstanding supporter of SICCI’s initiatives, playing a key role in backing several of its programs and activities over the years.

Notably, in 2024, SIPA sponsored one of the prestigious awards during SICCI’s 8th Business Excellence Awards, a testament to its active role in recognizing and encouraging excellence within the local business community.
“SICCI embraces SIPA’s continual support and its visionary commitment to the growth of our private sector.
“This partnership not only boosts business capacity but also contributes meaningfully to national economic progress,” SICCI said in a statement.
The visit is part of SICCI’s ongoing engagement strategy with key stakeholders to ensure stronger cooperation and alignment in promoting a conducive environment for private sector development in Solomon Islands.
