Japan Grants US$84,822 for Water Supply System Improvement in 4 Villages in Isabel Province

The Signing Ceremony for “The Project for the Improvement of Water Supply System at 4 Villages in Hograno District, Isabel Province” under the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) programme

On 21st February, 2025, Grant Contract Signing Ceremony for the Grant Assistance for Grass-Roots Human Security Projects (GGP) was held at the Embassy of Japan. Ambassador Mr. Keiichi HIGUCHI signed the contract with Mr. Rodrick Holness Rollands, Executive Board Chairman of Solomon Islands Climate Action Network (SICAN).

The Government of Japan will provide grant assistance up to US$84,822, which will provide a new water supply system to 4 Villages, Kaolo, Kaevanga, Doga, and Kabahegha Community in Hograno District, Isabel Province. This assistance will provide access to clean water for the people in this 4 Villages and improve living environment and public health.
