The Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA) has expressed gratitude to Solomon Water for their generous donation of 310 20-liter empty carboys (containers).
The containers were collected from

Solomon Waterโ€™s station at Ngossi in West Honiara on Friday, December 13, and transported to ADRAโ€™s warehouse at the Solomon Islands Mission (SIM) compound in East Honiara.

This donation marked the second time ADRA has received such a donation from Solomon Water. In 2013, ADRA received over 700 plus empty ex-hypochlorite carboys, which supported various field projects.

Before the donation was done, ADRA Director Leyn Elizer Gantare and Comm./MEL Officer Denver Newter were invited and trained by Solomon Water staff in November at SW Mataniko office laboratory on the proper cleaning procedures for the empty ex-hypochlorite carboys.

ADRA Country Director Leyn Elizer Gantare has his appreciation for the donation by Solomon Water.
โ€œI would like to thank Solomon Water for these containers, which will be very helpful to our community in needs of these containers through our projectsโ€™ implementationโ€™โ€™

โ€˜โ€™Currently, we are working on WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) projects in the Western Province, and these containers will greatly support our effortsโ€™โ€™

โ€œI am sincerely thanking Solomon Water and their management for these generous supports towards ADRA,โ€™โ€™Mr Gantare said.

Meanwhile, Solomon Water has also provided cleaning guidelines to ensure the carboys are properly sanitized before being used in communities and households.
