On February 5, 2025, Jonathan Curr, New Zealand’s High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands, presented his Letter of Introduction to Prime Minister Jeremiah Manele.
For the occasion, High Commissioner Curr wore a Kākaku Huruhuru, a traditional Māori cloak, symbolizing New Zealand’s cultural heritage and honoring the significance of the event.
With prior diplomatic roles in Fiji, Türkiye, Tonga, and Egypt, Curr brings extensive experience to his new position.
Both nations are committed to advancing their partnership in the coming year, with a shared focus on strengthening bilateral ties.
