Former Emalus Law Students Support Vanuatu Earthquake Victims
On December 24, 2024, representatives of former Emalus Campus law students handed over a generous donation of $10,000.00 cash to the Solomon Islands Vanuatu Committee (SI VANUATU). The handover was officiated by Jeffrey Sipele, who presented the donation on behalf of the former Law students to SI VANUATU Chairman, Mr. Rocky Tuku, in the presence of committee member Mrs. Sonia Marahare.
Jeffrey expressed heartfelt gratitude to all former Emalus students who contributed to the cause, emphasizing that the funds were raised through heartfelt donations over just two days, from December 22 to December 24, 2024.
Mrs. Marahare acknowledged the generosity of the students and noted that the funds would provide much-needed assistance to the victims of the Vanuatu earthquake. The committee is now exploring ways to deliver the money to Vanuatu to ensure it reaches those in need.
This act of kindness reflects the strong sense of solidarity and compassion among the former Emalus law students and their commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis.
