The Anglican Church of Melanesiaโ€™s (ACoM) flagship vessel, MV Southern Cross, continues its vital disaster relief efforts, delivering a second shipment of food and essential supplies this morning to Port Vila. The shipment included 206 bags of rice, 220 cartons of water, 50 bags of dried coconuts, around 200 bags of island kaikai, and 19 cartons of seedlings.

Mr. John Siba, Senior Operations Officer for ACoM Vanuatu, expressed heartfelt gratitude to all contributors, regardless of their denomination, stating, “This disaster has impacted our families, and we are all called to support each other.
He also acknowledged the Department of Agriculture in Malekula for providing seedlings to help families grow their own crops.

During the handover at the Vanuatu Police Maritime Wharf, RVS Mala Base, the Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Forestry, Fisheries, and Biosecurity (MALFFB), Mr. Timothy Tumukon, commended ACoM for providing free transportation through MV Southern Cross and thanked the crew for their ongoing service since the beginning of the year.
