Our Telekom recently had the honor of hosting the Blind Visual Impairment Association Solomon Islands (BVIPSI) and Pasifiki HR staff for an important awareness session aimed at fostering a more inclusive workplace. Led by BVIPSI President Mr. Eddie Babanisi, the session provided valuable insights on how to support visually impaired individuals in the workplace, focusing on the concept of “reasonable accommodation” and practical strategies to create a more accessible environment.

Mr. Babanisi highlighted the importance of understanding and addressing the needs of visually impaired employees, sharing actionable advice for improving workplace inclusivity. The session was made possible with support from Pasifiki HR and Australia’s Strongim Bisnis, whose efforts help facilitate important work in creating equal opportunities for all.

In addition to the session, Our Telekom is proud to welcome three interns from BVIPSI, who will be joining the Commercial and Fleet teams, further contributing to a diverse and inclusive work environment. The company remains committed to breaking down barriers and ensuring everyone has the opportunity to thrive in the workplace.
