On March 15, 2025, the Kukum Seventh-Day Adventist (SDA) Church’s Vackay Youth Ministry marked the Global Youth Day with a series of impactful community visits in and around Honiara, Solomon Islands. This annual observance provided an opportunity for church youths, like Pathfinders, to share the love of God and extend acts of kindness to those in need.

The outreach program, which spanned several locations, included visits to the Central District, Lau Valley, Zion SDA Church, Naha, Kukum SDA Main Church, and various local zones. Key areas of focus included the fishing village, Kukum Campus, and Bakamatatora, where members engaged with families in meaningful ways. The visiting groups conducted spiritual sharing, offering prayers for the sick and distributing gifts to those who were struggling, reinforcing the message of love and compassion that lies at the heart of the Christian faith.

Mrs. Malefo, the youth leader of Vackay youth ministry, emphasized the urgency of the times, reminding all Christians that the events unfolding around the world point to the soon return of Jesus. She urged believers to remain steadfast in their faith and to trust in God’s caring hands for all of humanity.

As part of the church’s ongoing efforts to bring people together in prayer and reflection, Mrs. Malefo also announced that the Youth Week of Prayer would begin today, March 16, 2025. This event, held at the Kukum SDA Church, invites everyone in and around Honiara to come together in worship, prayer, and spiritual renewal. Whether invited or not, all are welcome to attend and participate in this week of uplifting programs.
The Youth Week of Prayer will begin at 6:00 PM at the Kukum SDA Church, and it promises to be a time of deep spiritual engagement and communal support. It is an open invitation for all Christians to gather, reflect on their faith, and experience the power of collective prayer.

This day of service and outreach, highlighted by Mrs. Malefo’s message, shows the SDA Church’s commitment to not only preaching the word of God but also living it out through action, touching lives, and making a difference in the local community.
As the Seventh-Day Adventist Church continues to share the message of hope and salvation, events like the Global Youth Adventist Day serve as important reminders of the church’s mission to reflect the love of God to the world and to prepare for the return of Jesus Christ.
