Some students and parents who are currently financially unstable are making a humble request to the ACoM Education Secretary to reconsider the sea fare prices for students and teachers traveling on the MV Southern Cross to Pamua, Makira, on the 3rd of February. While the service is deeply appreciated, concerns have been raised about the cost of SBD 400 for both students and teachers, which many feel is too high.

One parent expressed gratitude for the transportation service, saying, “We truly appreciate the service, but the price is a burden on many families.”
A student highlighted the financial strain many families are facing. “They need to reconsider this price because most of our families are already struggling in this difficult financial times,” the student said.

As the travel date approaches, families are hopeful that the ACoM Education Secretary will take their concerns into account and make adjustments that would ease the financial pressure on students and their families.
