Miss Solomon Islands and Team Prepare to Celebrate “Solomon Aelan Pijini” for the First Time as Part of Pacific Language in Aotearoa

This November, Solomon Islanders living in Aotearoa, New Zealand will get the chance to celebrate Solomon Aelan Pijin for the first time as part of Pacific Language Weeks in Aotearoa!

The Pacific Language Week initiative is created by the Ministry of Pacific Peoples Aotearoa to celebrate the rich languages of the Pacific. The Solomon Islands’ team is excited to join 11 other Pacific languages in this spirited celebration from Nov 24-30th.

And there is no one better to lead the team behind this historic celebration in advocating for the protection of Solomon Islands’ language and culture, than Solomon Islands’ newly crowned Miss Solomon Islands, Elsie Polosovai.

Miss Polosovai has demonstrated remarkable strength and leadership through the Miss Solomon Islands 2024, becoming a powerful advocate and inspiring representative for the Solomon Islands on a regional and global stage. Working with the team on this celebration and using her platform is perfect for promoting the diverse cultures and beautiful Solomon Aelan Pijin of the Solomon Islands.
