MEHRD Gents Favourable  build-up for Honiara Masters Football League



MEHRD Gents claimed a close victory 2-1 against St Joseph Tenaru staff in a friendly match on Saturday at St Joseph Tenaru sports field.


An early goal from team captain and striker Mike Haukaria and a second half goal from left winger Adrian Dorovia was enough for MEHRD Gents to secure the victory.


The victory is not only sweet for MEHRD Gents but a positive build up for the team as they are eyeing their first match against Solomon Ports on Wednesday 2nd. October 2024.


The team under the watchful eye of coach and player Jackson Toata and Team Manager Richard Adomana have displayed some hidden skillful footwork that caught St Joseph’s staff by surprised.


MEHRD Gents with the inclusion of Member of Parliament for Temotu Nende Hon. Stephen Kumi up in the front line and former Marist player Martin Ruhasia at the back strengthened the team spirit that provide an exciting game for both teams to enjoy and promote health.


With the theme “Kick for Health”, the team will continue their training sessions every Tuesday and Thursday at Honiara High School sports fields and SMI sports ground.
